Tom created his studio project in 2011 on his own, initially having in mind the goal of composing exclusively instrumental music. Mastering bass and guitar, he finally decided to bring some musicians for collaboration. It’s from there, with his old friend Bad Drunk, that the idea to create their own setup sprang to their mind. A little time later, the name “The Velvet Roses” was born.
Influenced principally by Grunge, Hard Rock and Metal, The Velvet Roses have created their identity on the basis of these sounds that marked the ’90s.
Axelle - Vocals
Immersed in the scene from childhood, Axelle finds inspiration and lives Grunge . Since the beginnings of the genre to the post-Cobain epoch, she has always been faithful to the movement and knows how to fill her voice with emotion.
Perfectly mastering the style, she is able to add an additional musical touch, bringing originality to the group.

Tom - Lead Guitar
Guitarist since his adolescence, Tom is inspired principally by the sounds of the 90’s. Grunge & Hard Rock resonate still in his spirit, which is reflected in the style of “The Velvet Roses”. Co-founder of the group and composer of the first opus, he shares the writing and his passion for music with his old friend Bad Drunk. It was from this that came the most striking riffs on the first album.
Strengthened by this experience, he created his own studio “Various Record Studio”, in which the group produce since.

Bad Drunk - Guitar / Back Vocals
Born into Hard Rock and raised with metal, Bad Drunk created his style by combining the two genres. An unconditional fan of G’n’R, he spent hours playing Slash, but he has also worked extensively on the plans and methods of Thrash Metal.
During adolescence, Grunge came as another influence on top and Bad Drunk riffs came to life…

Sulli - Drums
Setup on his stool since 1999 and only leaving it for calls of nature, it is on the same seat that he likes to let loose his unfunny jokes, but which make Axelle laugh. He joined the group in 2014, for the new line-up.
A rebel adolescent, he kicked off with punk and then moved on to prog rock (Genesis, Pink Floyd, Butterfly Ball, Dream Theater), therefore complicated structures which remind him of his brain.
Having practiced a high level of eclectism, he only rules out rap and techno.

Guillaume - Bass
Grown listening to Hard Rock and Heavy Metal of the 80’s & 90’s, Guillaume is inspired by both glam and trashy riffs.
Guitarist/Bassist, is by mixing the groove of the bass with the melody of guitars that Guillaume gounds the special sound of his bass lines.
